Behind our Packaging

Behind our Packaging

At Moringa Project sustainability isn't a checkbox, It’s a mindset. From the way we grow our ingredients to the way each parcel arrives at your door, we try to make choices that are thoughtful, respectful, and rooted in care. While we aren’t fully plastic-free yet, we believe in making conscious packaging choices that are recyclable, reusable and designed with intention.

This Plastic-Free July, we’re taking a closer look at what sustainable packaging really means. Not just trends or buzzwords, but thoughtful decisions that reduce impact and support a more circular future.

Glass Where It Matters Most

Our Facial Oil, Body Oil, and Hair Oil come in amber glass bottles. Glass helps preserve the quality of our cold-pressed moringa oil and is one of the most recyclable materials available. It’s durable, beautiful, and easy to reuse. It also helps preserve purity and can be reused or recycled again and again.

Many of our customers give these bottles a second life — whether as travel containers, mini vases, or DIY serum droppers. It’s a small step, but it adds up.

Paper Tubes with Purpose

Our outer packaging is made with a sturdy paper tube — protective, practical, and made with minimal environmental impact. These are strong enough to protect your product, light enough to reduce shipping waste, and simple to recycle when you’re done.

The clean look also reflects what’s inside — simple, honest skincare that speaks for itself.

We do still use a small amount of plastic where it’s necessary, such as in droppers or pump components. It’s always kept to a minimum, and we continue to explore better options as we grow. We’re not perfect. But we’re intentional. And always working towards better.

Aluminum Tubes That Work Hard

Our Moringa Clay Face Mask is packaged in an aluminum tube. Aluminum is lightweight, fully recyclable, and easy to squeeze — helping you get every last bit of product with zero waste. Once it’s empty, just recycle.

Aluminum also helps maintain product potency without relying on plastic, making it both functional and sustainable.

Designed for Afterlife

Everything we create is meant to be reused, recycled or reimagined. From glass bottles and paper tubes to aluminum containers, each element is chosen with a second life in mind.

We’re also working on refill options and packaging return programmes in Thailand. If that’s something you’re excited about, we’d love to hear your thoughts.

The Truth: We’re Not Perfect, But We’re Purposeful

We don’t claim to be zero waste or fully plastic-free. But every packaging decision we make is intentional. We’re committed to doing better — for your skin, and for the planet.

This Plastic Free July, we invite you to pause, reflect, and choose more consciously. Even small shifts can add up to real change. Ready to shop more consciously? Explore our low-waste skincare
