BEAUTY INSIDE AND OUT

Moringa Clay Mask: the collective power of moringa, spirulina and green tea

Moringa Face Mask

The Moringa Clay Mask is a natural and effective skincare solution made from a primary blend of Moringa oil, leaf powder and white clay. Moringa is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals that nourish and hydrate the skin. On the other hand, white clay is known for its ability to remove impurities and toxins from the skin, leaving it smooth, soft, and refreshed. Our masks gently exfoliate, replenish, and moisturise your skin by combining these benefits with the powerful effects of spirulina and green tea.

Our masks contain Moringa oil and Moringa leaf extract from the Moringa oleifera tree, a versatile plant with numerous benefits for skin health and general well-being.

Moringa has vital cleansing and detoxifying properties. Antioxidants in Moringa have been shown to protect against the effects of skin ageing, reducing fine lines. A primary contributor to skin ageing is pollution, and Moringa’s antioxidant properties help to detoxify the skin from environmental pollutants.

Moringa oil hydrates and deeply moisturises the skin without giving an oily appearance. This is due to high oleic acid content, penetrating deeply into the skin’s surface and replenishing lost moisture. Moringa, with its high Vitamin C content, also assists with repairing the skin barrier.

Spirulina

Alongside Moringa, spirulina can significantly improve skin health and radiance. A type of blue-green algae growing mainly in freshwater, Spirulina is exceptionally rich in nutrients, leading to its fame as a “superfood”. The algae can be found as an active ingredient in many forms, and while often taken in powder or supplementary form, it can also be applied topically to improve skin texture, appearance, and health. Most notably, spirulina has large protein, mineral and antioxidant contents linked to numerous health benefits.

Spirulina has been found to mitigate the effects of inflammation, leading to reduced acne buildup and swelling. Spirulina may also help to detoxify the skin and reduce the effects of ageing. This occurs by enhancing skin tightening and elasticity and reducing the damage caused by environmental conditions such as pollution. Moreover, spirulina has been shown to contribute to cell repair and regeneration.

Green Tea

Green tea contains several properties that can repel skin concerns when applied topically. It has a high antioxidant content and antibacterial properties, banishing bacteria from pores and reducing the chances of acne formation. Green tea is also full of vitamin E, an essential nutrient that can hydrate and moisturise our skin.

Caffeine in green tea can help stimulate skin cell turnover, working as a natural, gentle exfoliant. This helps remove dead skin cells that make the skin appear dull and contribute to acne. Green tea also contains tannins, molecules which reduce the appearance of pores and even out complexion. These tannins also regulate sebum production, preventing oily skin and clogged pores.

Kaolin Clay

Kaolin clay is a white clay that gently cleanses and exfoliates the skin, removing excess sebum, dead skin cells and unclogging pores. Kaolin is suitable for sensitive skin types. Combined with the effects of Moringa, spirulina and green tea, the kaolin clay in our masks helps to draw out toxins and impurities from your skin; a non-irritating solution to clearing excess oil, dirt and pollution.
