BEAUTY INSIDE AND OUT

the benefits of crystal gua sha and rollers

Why Clear Quartz?

Clear Quartz is known as the “Master Healer” as it’s the most powerful healing crystal on the planet.   It absorbs , stores, releases, and regulates energy and is useful for unblocking it.  Clear Quartz stimulates the immune system and brings the body back into balance. It is used to amplify positive energy and intentions.  Clear quartz also has a very high silica content, an important mineral for skin health, so it’s thought to improve the overall wellbeing of your skin when used as a roller or gua sha.

What is a Gua Sha and Face Roller?

Both the Clear Quartz Roller and Gua Sha are designed to promote lymphatic flow of the skin.  They help drain puffiness, unwanted toxins, contour the face, decrease eye bags and help smooth fine lines and wrinkles.

Originally an ancient Chinese healing technique, a gua sha is a natural, alternative therapy that involves scraping the skin with a small tool. The shape of the gua sha is perfectly designed for ‘sculpting’ the muscles in the face, by creating pressure and stretching muscles simultaneously to stimulate.  The face roller is massage tool designed to roll the natural crystal over the skin as a soothing treatment that helps to quickly stimulate blood flow and drain puffiness.

Which one to choose?  Go for the roller if you want a more calming tool and the gua sha for a more powerful tool.

Next, roll in an upward motion across the forehead. Use short strokes starting at the chin, and roll toward the bottom of the ears. Lastly, gently roll down the sides of neck moving toward the center of the clavicle. Use the small roller ball for the smaller parts on your face.  The roller will massage oil into the skin to promote deep hydration and skin rejuvenation.

Gua sha

Hold your gua sha with the curved side to your face. Gently glide it gently up and out, starting with the neck. Use short stocks on the  jawline, chin and around the mouth in one direction, upwards and out, not back and forth. Make sure you’re stroking down the neck, never upwards, to drain fluid. If you want to reduce puffiness, work lightly, then more firmly, to relax muscles.  Press the tool flat to the skin to soothe and de-puff eyes.
